Job Description
Looking for a Quality Supervisor with a food background to join an influential department, ensuring the quality of food meets the required standards.
Plans to develop and change how food quality is tested means that this is a truly exciting role and a great opportunity to manage a key team within Production.
The objective of the Quality department is to ensure that food quality is maintained to the high standards expected, reducing customer complaints and making sure customers receive great food. This role will be key to delivering that by resolving issues quickly and making sure the Technicians know what is expected of them and are able to drive improvements forward.
On a day to day basis the challenges will be: organising a high workload, developing new systems and suggesting ideas for improvements, liasing with multiple departments, reducing product on hold, monitoring and reducing the level of customer complaints. With over 800 product lines there is a lot of information to process and manage and the individual will need to keep fully aware of product quality issues, trials, raw material issues, and production processes within the factory so being organised will be key.
The role holder will liase with many people across the factory, from all Production staff, to NPD and the customer complaints team so good communication skills are essential as is a sound knowledge of Microsoft programs. You will be expected to taste products. The role reports to the Quality Manager and supervises two technicians. This role will be suited to someone able to forge strong working relationships, passionate about food, with experience of managing a team.
