Job Description
A leading Defence Organisation wishes to appoint a Painter and Finisher to work on the Hawk TMk2 Aircraft.
The successful candidate will report to the Depth Manager and be part of the team working on various aspects of aircraft and component maintenance within the Department.
The position requires the individual to have a good trade knowledge of Surface Finishing preferably with fast jet experience at first and second on both aircraft and components.
Applicants should be aware that they could be employed anywhere within the work sphere and that shiftwork and or overtime if neccessary is a requirement for this position
Person Specification
Skills:
· Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of aircraft Painting and Finishing
· Demonstrate a good understanding of trade based maintenance practices
· Demonstrate a good understanding of trade based Aircraft Publications.
Attitude:
Able to achieve task objectives and deadlines. Energetic, enthusiastic, disciplined team player and also operate to work on own initiative when required. Positive focus to ensure contracted output is balanced against customer’s goals
Qualifications & Experience
Should have served a recognised apprenticeship in Painting and Finishing to NVQ 3 standard or equivalent
Knowledge of Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems.
Knowledge of RAF engineering policy documentation and organisation.
Salary Package
£18000 - Plus overtime
