Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an Operational Quality technician within UK Hose Assembly Operations. To audit hose assemblies and components to quality acceptance standards and/or provide problem-solving support to the assembly lines (UKHA & Customers) including the control of reject material.
Duties
Individual Responsibilities
To conduct audits on hose assemblies and to a target time
To carry out Incoming inspections on components (IQA)
To follow inspection Standard Work
To clearly communicate defects to Operations and support area personnel as defects are identified
To provide detailed quality feedback at daily quality meetings
To participate in defect investigations and component inspection as required
To act as the first point of contact for all hose assembly quality issues
To respond to UKHA Production quality issues
To respond to urgent customer quality issues
To carry out First production inspections and other audits as required
To investigate and reject defective material
To investigate, analyse and identify the root cause of hose assembly issues
To conduct basic dimensional inspection as part of investigations
Collecting data and updating metric boards as needed.
Team Responsibilities
Working to imbed CPS, BGCC and MQ12005 processes into the quality team
Assisting in the creation, training and implementation of standardised work processes
Leading Process Improvement Dialogs (PIDs)
Participating in Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs)
Generating and working on Continuous Improvement ideas for there assigned areas
Person Specification
A self motivated individual, with the flexibility to deal with individual and team behaviours, you should be able to motivate others with your advice and experience
You should also identify with the belief in the value of continuous improvement and team based cultures
Initiative and strong communication, interpersonal, PC & organisational skills
Proficient in using production problem solving techniques
Qualifications & Experience
Ability to read basic engineering drawings
Dimensional inspection experience
