Job Description
Gemini Forces are working in conjunction with another agency in regard to this position.
Reporting into the Head of Aviation Safety, the successful candidate will assist them to implement, facilitate and oversee safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, and checks and balances to ensure safe flight operations throughout the theatre of operations.
You will implement established safety procedures, develop self inspection checklists and assist in mishap investigations.
You will develop FOD, CTK and similar safety programs and assist with safety course development and procedures.
You will complete safety audits and inspections, facilitate external safety inspections ensure safety compliance and maintain safety databases.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
You should be an accomplished Flight Safety Manager ideally a former US / UK / AUS or equivalent Military Flight Safety Officer with at least one tour as an FSO.
You will have a good understanding of FAA and ICAO requirements including, but not
limited to: passenger operation, transport of hazardous material, standardization programs, compliance programs, weight and balance, flight plan filing and preparation.
You will be familiar with military safety courses and ideally be HAZMAT trained in flight and ground operations.
You will have experience in aircraft mishap investigation and of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally be able to speak some Russian, able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
Finally you should be PC / IT literate and possess a Drivers Licence.
