Gemini Forces boss called on for expert view

THE expert view of specialist recruitment company boss Harry Dean was called upon when Prime Minister David Cameron unveiled the strategic defence review.
Harry Dean, who runs Leicester-based Gemini Forces, featured on the BBC News website, giving his reaction to the review which revealed defence spending would fall by 8 per cent over four years.
“I was delighted to be given the opportunity to offer my opinion on the strategic defence review on a national stage,” said Harry, who himself served in the Army for 30 years before setting up Gemini Forces.
“There will be questions over whether this government really cares about the armed forces. As far as the personnel cuts go, across the board the Army comes out of it quite well in comparison to the RAF and the Navy, but 7,000 is still too many. I think the defence review should have come outside the Spending Review and it should have lasted longer.”
He added that the review could prompt a surge in ex-Forces personnel entering the civilian jobs market which is where Gemini Forces helps.
